Tech giant Meta (Facebook) authority has taken a huge action for What’sApp users in India. They’ve banned over 2M accounts. As we all know, What’sApp is more popular in India and they’ve huge users over there. Lot’s of companies are doing their businesses by using What’sApp due to its encrypted facilities. Large number of people are using What’sApp for communication purposes like voice and video calls. By using the app you can easily communicate with your loved one or any others. It has some features like Catalog for business owners to make a deal with clients as well. 

But when you’ve a popular app like this which has a lot of options, there are many people who’s waiting to do some unethical practices. That’s why What’sApp banned 2069000 numbers in October-2021 in India, which is a record number for any country.

Meta spokesperson says that, in order to keep our users safe we’ve taken these actions. This action will continue because a lot of people are trying to do some unethical activities by using What’sApp.

Technology experts welcome this action. They said if you want to keep your platform safer for everyone, you need to take some major initiatives to tackle any unusual activities. Recently huge number of people were trying to get the personal information by sending false offers or phishing link, by which many people have faces some problems. 

What’sApp authority also mentioned that they’ve deployed tools to detect harmful activities to prevent any issues and keep a safe environment for its users.
