How to Create YouTube Handle

YouTube most popular video-sharing platform on the earth. Billions of people are watching videos every day. Anyone can watch videos and also can contribute by sharing their videos on the channel. Today I am going to share with you a new feature and that is YouTube Handle.

About YouTube:

Google bought YouTube in 2006 and since then it has made a revolution on social media platforms. You’re not only can watch videos you can also share your audio as well. YouTubers can also go live streaming whenever they want. That’s why YouTube is the 2nd largest search engine right now after Google.

YouTube Content Creators:

Being a YouTube creator you can upload your videos and when people watched them you can earn money from it by monetization. So content creators are doing good and uploading their content on a regular basis. If you’ve managed YouTube Partner Program then you can earn from it. For this, you need to have at least 1000 subscribers and 4000 hours of watch time. Then you can apply for monetization.

YouTube authority currently gives 55% of its revenue from Ads. So if you’ve monetization on your channel you can earn more. The more people watch your videos you can earn. So try to upload the contents which your audiences liked most. Remember your audiences are vital for your earning source.

What is YouTube Handle?

YouTube handle is a newly launched feature for YouTube creators. You can now able to manage your channel identification. Most channels have a common name sometimes. Because you may have chosen your YT Channel name and someone may also have the one already. For example, my YouTube Channel name is Chittagong Boys and I’ve found more channels with a similar name. So when people search the channel they can see lots of channels with the same name.

YouTube handles a like your username. It is unique, no one can choose the handle if it has already been taken by someone else. So if you set your channel handle your viewers can easily find out the channel.

How Do I Set YouTube Handle?

YouTube handles can be set in the following way. Like if you have a YouTube Channel and you want to set your handle then you can follow the process.

Process One:

If you have a YouTube Channel check your channel notification, YouTube may already send you a message to set your Channel Handle.

• If you can see their message at the top you can click on the link
• It will take you to the Handle setup process
• If you’ve already Custom URL then YouTube will offer you to choose the same name as Handle if no one takes it.

Process Two:

There’s is another way to set your Handle. To do this you need to go to your channel

• Click on the YouTube Studio from the right corner of the channel
• Click on the Channel Customization option at the left side of your youtube studio
• Now select the Basic Info there you can see Handle options
• Now choose your unique handle for your channel
• Click on the publish button when you’re done.

Handles are unique

YouTube handles are unique, so there are no chances to see the same handles as usernames. You may know on any social media platform users can select their username to identify their profiles. The same process is followed here, from now anyone on YouTube can mention you by @handle, yes by using this content creators now can mention anyone on YouTube and can also search on the channel as well. This feature is already liked by the channel owners because of the unique username. They’ve faced a lot of problems where same-name channels are seen on YouTube.
