Why new features launched?
YouTube authority always tried to give their best for the community. They always want their viewers get the best possible features on the platforms. Recently YouTube have found that many content creators are using so many tools to create the content more attractive but the way they are going its not safe and sound for all. A lot of YouTubers spread many misleading information which may harm the society. To keep the viewers informed what types of content they are watching YouTube have launched their new feature named altered content.
Altered Content:
YouTube always encouraged creators to create content with innovative and useful for the viewers. No one should get misleads by watching the content. We always use some tools to edit our content so that the content looks more realistic and attractive but if someone uses anything that is not real we should keep informed the viewers before publishing the content.
Before publishing any content from now every content creators should declare about their content from the settings. The settings will be found at below the paid promotion options when anyone goes to publish any content. So when YouTubers goes to public any content they must follow the following rules and need to declare it before publishing and these are:
- A real person appearance
- An altered footage of a real event
- Generating realistic looking scene
You will get only 2 options that is Yes/No. If any of these elements are not using on your content you need to select No otherwise select Yes if your content is created with AI generated tools which is not realistic.
What is Altered or Synthetic Content:
We may use some tools to look our content so powerful and attractive to get more views. But sometimes we uses features which is not real but it uses to make the content looks realistic. Like we may use beauty filters on our content and it is ok with that but when we use digitally generated to replace face of one individuals with others that is not real. Sometimes viewers thinks it is real which is not though. That’s why YouTube wants to make sure that viewers should keep informed the videos they are watching is not real.
What happened if I don’t declare this?
If the content creator declare that his content follows all the rules of the community then it is ok with that and if they declare the content doesn’t have any unrealistic scene or voices but YouTube found that is not true then they will take actions.
